SATme Phone/PDA Requirements
- Phone/PDA with J2ME (Java MicroEdition) :
CLDC 1.1 (or greater)
MIDP 2.0 (or greater)
Manufacturers sometimes like to hide details like these, but generally this will include any mobile phone manufactured in the last couple years, and includes some fairly “low-end” devices.
- A method of installing the application. Your phone should have instructions on how to install appications, and if not Google often turns up the answer.
Sprint customers should be able to point their phone’s browser at the URL on the webpage. Some may be able to do download the program off the internet using a personal computer and then upload the file to the phone. PDAs that use the IBM Java runtime environment should be able to download the program by entering the URL of the JAD file into the "install" dialog. Blackberry users should be able to install by clicking on the JAD file.
- Internet connection on the phone to periodically download Keplerian elements.
There is a demo version available on the download page so that you can completely test the functionality of the software on your phone before purchasing the program. Please share you experiences so we can create a “how-to-install” page for various phones and service providers.
